International Women’s Day: Feminist Solidarity
The Groningen Feminist Network, Let’s Talk About Sex Groningen, the Student Center for Diversity, Advocacy, and Inclusion, International Socialists Groningen, Queer Pride Groningen, Fridays for Future Groningen, Bij1 Groningen and Amnesty International Groningen invite you to join us on the 6th of March at 14:00 in honor of International Women’s Day 2022!
The central theme of this year’s Women’s Day will be dedicated to coming together and extending feminist solidarity to different struggles which women and marginalized groups experience. In other words, we will explore and shine a light on how different intersections of struggle impact our lives. We will gather at the Grote Markt and start off with a few speeches, then we will continue by marching around the city, and finally we will gather back to our starting point where you will get to know the organizations behind the event as well as talk to all attending participants. This event will ensure the maintenance of health safety measures by socially distancing and wearing masks.
