On Trans Day of Visibility, we celebrate our trans siblings and show the world that we are HERE to stay!
But being visible comes at a cost for many trans folks. Fairspace (formerly Hollaback!) will give a workshop where they will demonstrate their 4-D approach and focus on practical tools to fight street harassment, so cis folks can learn what to do when they see someone being harassed.
Fairspace is a movement to end harassment in public spaces powered by local activists. For this event, the Groningen Feminist Network GFN and City Central have invited them to give a workshop on bystander intervention in street harassment incidents, with a specific focus on the forms of public harassment trans folks may face.
This is a free event. You don’t have to sign up.
City Central is not wheelchair accessible – there are five steps leading up to the door. There will be a visual presentation as well as print outs available
